The two sides discussed how to pursue reclamation of corrupt assets and leverage the capacities of UNCAC to fight corruption.
The Islamic Republic of Iran signed the UNCAC in 2003 and the Majlis (Iranian Parliament) ratified it in 2006. Iran officially became a member of the convention in 2009.
