Zahedan, IRNA – The director of markets in southeastern Iranian province of Sistan-Baluchestan has said the border markets here exported 762,000 tons of commodities in seven months (March 21- October 22, 2021).

The figure shows a 32-percent increase in weight compared with that of the same period in the previous year, Mobin Ali-Mir told IRNA on Monday.

Ali-Mir said the exported commodities included food items, juice, cake, ceramic, fruit, tile, etc.

As he noted, activity of seven border markets in Sistan-Baluchestan is a great capacity for regional development.

It also helps boost production and business cycle, he added.

Most of the Iranian border markets are in Sistan-Baluchestan. Two of the province markets are on joint border crossings with Afghanistan and five others are on Iran-Pakistan borders.
