Tehran, IRNA – Newly-appointed Managing-Director of the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) Ali Naderi said in his induction ceremony on Tuesday that the agency’s strategy was the same as announced by the administration, i.e. promoting justice, fighting corruption and facilitating people’s livelihood.

The induction ceremony of Naderi was held at the headquarters of the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) in Tehran, attended by Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Mohammad Mehdi Esmaili and the former IRNA chief, Mohammad Reza Noroozpour.

In his inauguration speech, Naderi pointed to IRNA’s long experience since its establishment in 1934, saying that the historical experience along with the competent human capital was the biggest wealth of IRNA which makes great accomplishments feasible.

He said that there should be some transitions to synchronize the agency with the latest developments in technology, including modern social media.

Naderi also touched on the domestic and international capacities of IRNA, noting that this capacity could provide the agency with top position and restore its status.

The new managing-director said that IRNA should help administration execute its plans to give people hope.

Naderi stated that IRNA was a news agency for the whole government and the Parliament and the Judiciary should feel that.
