Amirabdollahian made the remarks at a joint press briefing with his visiting Venezuelan counterpart Felix Plasencia.
Venezuela is a new opportunity for the development of all-out cooperation in all areas, the Iranian foreign minister announced.
He went on to say that the Iranian private sector can start cooperation with Venezuela.
Further, Amirabdollahian underlined that Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro is planned to visit Iran in next months; and a 20-year document on cooperation is scheduled to be signed.
And all these issues indicate that the two enjoy growing cooperation, he stressed.
Elaborating on Tehran-Caracas ties, the foreign minister said the two have reached good agreements on energy, technology, science, economy and trade in recent years.
He added that important parts of those agreements are under implementation.
Islamic Republic of Iran supports Venezuelan people, president and all legitimate bodies in the country, Amirabdollahian said stressing that Tehran believes that the US policies on the Venezuelan people are unconstructive.
Amirabdollahian described the recent US move to arrest a Venezuelan diplomat in Cabo Verde and dispatch him to America as an incorrect act which as he said was violation of Venezuelan sovereignty.
Turning to bilateral ties, the foreign minister said grounds have been prepared for investment in Iran and information about the issue will be released gradually.
