Ruhollah Latifi said that after Turkmenistan announced its readiness following the reached agreements with Iran, the border will be reopened as of tomorrow (Thursday), for the passage of the Iranian trucks, carrying Iran's export goods to Turkmenistan.
“In March, 2019, following the outspread of the Corona pandemic, Iran’s land border with Turkmenistan in Inche Borun was closed, and tomorrow by accepting the passage of Iranian trucks it will resume its activities,” he added.
Latifi said that according to the reached agreements, the Iranian export goods loaded on trucks will enter Turkmenistan on Iranian border through Inche Borun Border, and from there on reloaded on Turkmen trucks for being transported to their final destinations.
The Customs Administration spokesman said that during the past 20 months the entire boarders with Turkmenistan were closed, but after a while the rail borders in Sarakhs, Lotfabad, and Inche Borun were reopened, and only the land borders in Sarakhs and Lotfabad borders in Khorasan-e Razavi were reopened.
