Tehran, IRNA – Head of Parliamentary Friendship Group of Iran and Pakistan Ahmad Amirabadi Farahani said that Afghanistan would come out of the current situation with cooperation and participation of all-inclusive groups.

In a meeting with Pakistani Ambassador in Tehran Rahim Hayat Qureshi, the lawmaker outlined the long-lasting ties and commonalities between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Pakistan and highlighted the necessity of new outlook in expanding the ties.

Amirabadi Farahani said that Tehran was interested in strengthening its relationship with Islamabad through parliament friendship group which would hopefully accelerate economic and business interactions.

He also touched on the developments in the region - in Afghanistan, in particular - saying that the Islamic Republic of Iran believed that cooperation and participation of all-inclusive groups would take the country out of the current crisis.

Pakistan Ambassador said that his country was seeking to strengthen ties with neighbors in cultural, economic, and trading areas.

He said that the trip by parliamentary friendship group to Islamabad was a turning point in boosting Iran-Pakistan relations.

Qurashi underscored that Pakistani government and parliament was interested in and welcomed expanding cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran in every field.
