Mousavi made the remarks while speaking to reporters in response to recent media hype to create a rift between Iran and Azerbaijan.
"We and the government of the Republic of Azerbaijan know that this game was designed by some people who are not in benevolent to the two nations of Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan," the ambassador said.
He said that both Iran and Azerbaijan have discussed the issues in a recent trilateral meeting of research centers of Iran, Azerbaijan and Turkey, where they came to the conclusion that third parties have been engaged in these issues.
