Tehran, IRNA - Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei extended his condolences on Saturday to the bereaved family of Ali Landi, the teenage hero from Izeh, southwestern Iran.

According to the official website of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, the bereaved family of Ali Landi received a phone call from the office of Supreme Leader, in which the condolences of Ayatollah Khamenei were conveyed and his sympathy was expressed with this bereaved family.

Ali Landi, 15, rushed into fire to save two of his neighbors. He was severely injured in the incident and died on Friday (yesterday) after suffering severe burns caused by the big fire.

Before the rescue team and the fire brigade arrived, he rushed to help those caught in fire. Severely injured, he was sent to Isfahan for treatment after the initial measures in Ahvaz.

Ali Landi finally passed away on September 24 ( yesterday) after a few days of treatment for burns over 90%.
