Tehran, IRNA – Iran is pursuing the case of Georgia's border treatment of Iranians living in the country, Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh said on Wednesday.

Khatibzadeh made the remarks following complaints from Iranian nationals living in Georgia about improper and biased treatment of the country’s border guardsmen as well as the imposition of some restrictions for Iranians at the Georgian border.

The issue is being seriously pursued by the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Tbilisi and also in Tehran with the Embassy of that country, the spokesman said.

Noting that such behavior is not acceptable by any means, Khatibzadeh said that the Georgian officials are expected to resolve the issue at the earliest.
