Anna Papava in her Monday meeting with Iran's Ambassador to the Russian Federation Kazem Jalali and after hearing his report on the status of campaign against coronavirus said: Keeping in mind that you have harnessed the new wave of coronavirus disease and with an eye on the new indexes, we will as soon as possible prepare a report and send it to the Kremlin Coronavirus Headquarters.
She expressed hope that thanks to the new improved status of coronavirus infections in Iran the Russian borders will soon be opened not only to the Iranian merchants and students, but to the entire Iranian wishing to visit Russia.
“I have always respected the Iranian nation highly, and Iran was among the first countries that Russia forwarded the COVID-19 tests to them, among Russia's friends," she said.
Ambassador Jalali appreciated the supportive moves made by the Russian government in Iran’s campaign against coronavirus, saying that the two countries’ relations have been expanding continually during the past years, adding: In line with that expansion, the presidents of the two countries will meet this week in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, and exchange viewpoints.
Further appreciating Russia for its assistance in sending vaccines to Iran, Jalali said that 90 million doses of Vaccine have arrived in Iran and during the next couple of months some 70% of the Iranians will be vaccinated.
