Tehran, IRNA – All indicators these days suggest the US has been placed in a free fall, from hasty withdrawal from Afghanistan to weird remarks on the nuclear deal and their scrambling in Syria and Iraq.

US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) announced recently that it has doubled the reward for the handing of information on the whereabouts of Sirajuddin Haqqani, the leader of Haqqani Network, while the aforementioned has just been appointed as Minister of the Interior in the Taliban government.

It was also announced during suspicious developments in Afghanistan, during which the US has left arms and communications equipment worth of billions of dollars for the Taliban in Afghanistan.

In such a context, the question is whether one should believe that the US, with such an inflationary intelligence boasting, couldn’t locate Haqqani or on top of that, they didn’t know about close ethnic, religious and political contacts of Haqqani with the Taliban?

The US also acknowledged that Pakistan has helped the Taliban enter the insurgent Panjshir Province with both air and ground forces. They are also expected to express objection regarding appointments in the Taliban government and their violent treatment of demonstrations.

Such behavior from the US side that has had the superior hand in Afghanistan over the last 20 years suggests they’re not honest with the public opinion in the world and even their own people.

The least the US could do about Afghanistan was to leave the country after the formation of an inclusive government; quite the contrary, however, they left the country in the worst situation possible.

The JCPOA

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken has recently said that the US was getting closer to giving up on Iran nuclear deal, while the US is the party that left the deal in the first place and resumed all sanctions in violation of the UN Security Council Resolution 2231.

Americans ignorantly put themselves in the place of the creditor and assume Iran as the violator, while the reality is totally vice versa and the US should be held responsible for its malign role input the most significant nuclear deal in this history of diplomacy, namely the JCPOA, in danger.

Former US President Donald Trump ended US participation in the deal in 2018, leaving European allies under pressure as they didn’t want the deal to be spoiled.

The incumbent US President Joe Biden has yet to fulfill its campaign promise to rejoin the JCPOA, since he does the same as his predecessor in refusing to abide by the terms of the deal and the UNSCR2231.

The overall behavior by the United States in the international arena, regarding various issues from Afghanistan to Iran and Syria and from the JCPOA to other international agreements, bespeaks the tremor in the pillars of US empire and resulting confusion in the White House that has noticed the intimacy of a big fall.
