Iran defeats Iraq in World Cup qualifiers

Tehran, IRNA – Iranian National Football Team headed by Dragan Skočić defeated Dick Advocaat’s players and stood on top of Group A list with six points.

Iran overpowered Iraq 3-0 in the final stage of Qatar World Cup qualifiers.

The first goal for Iran was scored by Alireza Jahanbakhsh.

Two minutes after the second half started, Iraq scored a goal but it was rejected by the referee.

Mahdi Taremi and Ali Gholizadeh scored the second and the third goal for Iran.

South Korea (4 points), Iraq (3 points), the UAE (2 points), Lebanon (1 point), and Iraq (1 point) ranked second to six respectively.
