Fifth IPU Conference opens in Vienna

London, IRNA – The 5th Conference of Speakers of Parliament opened in the Austrian capital on Tuesday participated by a parliamentary delegation from Iran.

Ahmad Naderi, the head of Inter-Parliamentary Committee, is heading the Iranian delegation to the conference.

Iran's Ambassador to the Vienna-based International Organizations Kazem Gharibabadi is also present at the event.

The conference is held every five years by the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU).

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf was also scheduled to attend the meeting but did not have the opportunity due to his busy schedule.

Naderi will read out Qalibaf’s message to the conference.
