Hassan Nourian, Iranian Consul General in Karachi, the capital of Sindh province met with the chairman and members of Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Friday and discussed opportunities for increasing provincial cooperation between the two countries.
While emphasizing the increase of trade exchanges between Iran and Pakistan, the two sides called for the use of each others’ experiences in the fields of investment and joint projects.
The meeting agreed to hold a webinar of the heads and members of the Bandar Abbas and Karachi Chambers of Commerce in the coming weeks on how to develop trade relations between the two states.
Welcoming the development of relations between the two countries' chambers, particularly the cooperation between the Iranian and Pakistani business communities, President of Karachi Chamber of Commerce, Shariq Vohra, said the Karachi business community desires to enter the Iranian market and expand investment cooperation.
The Islamic Republic of Iran and Pakistan, with more than 900 km of land and water border, have a high capacity for trade, transportation and transportation, especially in the transit and rail sectors.
