Meredow congratulated Amirabdollahian on his appointment to the post by President Ebrahim Raisi and winning the approval of the Parliament to take office.
In his message, the Turkmen foreign minister urged the need for close cooperation between Iran and Turkmenistan which he said will benefit the interests of both nations.
Meredow wished success for the new Iranian foreign minister.
