Iranian wrestlers win gold, bronze medals in Junior World Championship

Tehran, IRNA – Iranian Greco-Roman wrestlers grabbed one gold and another bronze medal in the first five weight categories of Junior World Championship underway in Ufa, Russia.

Amir-Reza Dehbozorgi defeated a rival from Uzbekistan 3-1 in the final game of 55-kg weight class to win the gold medal.

On his way to the final game, Dehbozorgi beat rivals from Azerbaijan, Turkey and Kazakhstan.

Iran’s Mohammad-Hossein Azarmdokht also defeated a rival from Egypt in the third place game of the 77-kg weight class 8-4 to receive the bronze medal.
