Yazd, IRNA – Head of Pire Naraki in Mehriz, Yazd Province, said that due to the outbreak of COVID-19, the annual religious ceremony of Zoroastrians which was supposed to be held on August 3 was canceled.

Speaking to IRNA, Behrooz Jarrah said that during the ceremony, brilliant students are granted awards.

He noted the newlyweds are also introduced to their coreligionists in the ceremony.

Pir Naraki is one of the oldest Zoroastrian shrines in Iran, which is located 20 km northwest of Mehriz.
