Tehran, IRNA – The managing director of the Iranian Foreign Ministry for West Asia stressed the fact that there is no military solution for the crisis in Afghanistan, adding that only negotiations work.

Current conflict in Afghanistan is not about seizing land; it is about maintaining legitimacy, Mousavi wrote in his Twitter account on Tuesday.

Even if Taliban conquers all the cities but cannot gain international recognition, they will not be able to establish their sovereignty.

There is no military solution and we just have to think about negotiation, he reiterated.
