Tehran, IRNA – Iranian female badminton player Sorayya Aghaei received Olympic quota for the first time in the history of Iran.

Aghaei will be the first Iranian woman who to attend the Olympics after 13 years.  

An Egyptian athlete, who had snatched a quota in both individual and double categories and had to select one, chose to play for the double category and Aghaei could reach the Olympics in the individual category.

Aghaei will be Iran's representative in 2021 Summer Olympics.
