Moscow, IRNA – A senior official in the Russian Foreign Ministry said that he hoped the cooperation between Iran and Russia would continue in the new administration of president-elect Ebrahim Raisi.

Zamir Kabulov, senior official in Russian Foreign Ministry, emphasized Tehran-Moscow relations in an interview with Russian media and hoped that the cooperation would continue.

Asked what his assessment of Iran’s presidential election was, he stressed that it was positive, hoping that close cooperation between Russia and Iran’s Supreme Leader of Revolution and administration would continue.

Raisi was elected president by Iranian in the June 18 presidential election. The Russian President Vladimir Putin was the first foreign leader to congratulate Raisi on presidency.
