Tehran, IRNA - Iran's International Police Chief Brigadier General Hadi Shirzad held an online meeting with his Turkish counterpart Lütfi Çiçek and they both emphasized the necessity of deepening the ties in-between.

Shirzad said in the meeting on Sunday that consolidating and deepening ties between Iran and Turkey police forces would pave the way to crash international criminals.

He said Iran’s police force was ready to cooperate with Turkish police in education, research, and knowledge exchange, underlining that the video conferences held between Tehran and Ankara would serve as a good example for the state members of Interpol.

Elsewhere in the meeting, Çiçek invited Iranian police officials to visit Turkey and said the Turkish International Police wanted also to stop international criminals and that they were ready to cooperate with Iran.
