Tehran, June 18, IRNA – Iran’s ambassador to Turkmenistan said that two voting centers have been opened in Turkmenistan for Iranians in this country to be able to vote in Iran’s June 18 presidential election.

A voting poll is stationed in Iran's Embassy in Ashgabat and another in Iran's consulate in Merv, Turkmenistan, Iran's Ambassador Gholamabbas Arbab Khales told IRNA on Friday.

He said that Iran's Foreign Ministry has always prepared voting centers for Iranians living in Turkmenistan to be able to vote in presidential elections held every four years in Iran.

Number of Iranians living or traveling to Turkmenistan has significantly decreased due to the restrictions caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

Turkmenistan is adjacent to Iran's northeastern provinces of Golestan and North Khorasan.
