According to official statistics, 59,310,307 Iranians can cast votes in the presidential election with over 1.3 million of them being first-voters.
Iran’s presidential election is being held nationwide as well as in 133 countries across the world.
Except for Tehran, voting would be electronic in 24 provincial capitals, where no paper ballots or usual ballot boxes would be used.
More than 72,000 polling stations have been installed across the country.
Iran’s 13th presidential election will be held simultaneously with the sixth round of municipal council elections for the cities and villages, the first mid-term for the 11th round of parliamentary by-election, and the second mid-term for the fifth round of the Assembly of Experts' election on June 18.
