Iran slams US sanctions on Russia

Tehran, April 16, IRNA -- Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh on Friday condemned fresh US sanctions against Russia being in false path and contrary to the international norms.

"The US government's addiction to sanctioning other countries seems to have become an institutionalized approach which has no effect on changing the attitude of governments," Khatibzadeh said.

Biden administration targeted Russia with sweeping sanctions and diplomatic expulsions Thursday.
