Tehran, Dec 5, IRNA – Pouya Mahmoudian, Iran's deputy minister of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism has been appointed as deputy head of World Crafts Council for West Asia and Oceania affairs from 2021-2024.

The 38th general assembly of World Crafts Council for Asia and Oceania was held online on December 4-5.

Addressing the meeting, Mahmoudian presented a report of the most important measures, activities and programs of Iran which have been taken in time of COVID-19 pandemic.

Representatives of 35 countries like Iran, Indonesia, Thailand, Kuwait, Malaysia, Palestine, Australia, Nepal, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Oman, Kazakhstan and Chairman of the World Crafts Council from the UK attended the meeting.
