Tehran, Nov 21, IRNA - Iran's Health Ministry spokeswoman Sima Sadat Lari said on Saturday that a total of 431 more Iranians have died from coronavirus disease (COVID-19) over the past 24 hours bringing the total deaths to 44,327.

Sadat Lari added that, with the 431 new victims, the country’s total COVID-19 deaths mounted to 44,327.

Some 12,931 new cases of infection with the COVID-19 were found over the past 24 hours, some 2,155 of whom have been hospitalized, she further noted.

She pointed out that a total of 841,308 Iranians have been confirmed infected with the COVID-19, some 596,136 of whom have recovered.

Some 5,778 other COVID-19 patients are in critical condition and being treated in intensive care units, the spokeswoman added.

She added that 5,747,325 tests have so far been carried out in the country.
