Official: 34 more Iranians die from COVID-19 pandemic

Tehran, May 25, IRNA- Head of Iran’s Health Ministry's Public Relations Office Kianoush Jahanpour said on Monday that 107,713 people out of a total of 137,724 infected with the current coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic have recovered while 7,451 have lost their lives.

Jahanpour underlined that 2,023 new infected cases have been detected and 34 others have lost their lives since yesterday (Sunday).

Iran has taken numerous steps to stop the spread of the disease, ranging from closing schools and universities to canceling cultural and religious gatherings. It is also constantly disinfecting and sanitizing public places.
