Zarif is to visit Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and Foreign Minister Walid al-Muallem later today.
Zarif last visited the Syrian one year ago and discussed mutual relationships and regional developments.
Also, al-Muallem visited Iran on January 12, 2020 and met with high-ranking Iranian officials.
