Iran wrestler earns gold in World Championships

Dezful, Aug 6, IRNA – Iranian Greco-Roman wrestler Saeed Esmaili in the weight category of 51 kg received a gold medal in the World Championships which was held in Bulgaria.

Speaking to IRNA, Head of Dezful Sports and Youth Office Naser Nazari said that Esmaili defeated Japan in the second round and advanced to quarter-finals.

After hitting India, he advanced to semi-finals and then defeated Bulgaria, he added.

Iranian fighter overpowered Azeri rival in final match and ranked first, he noted.
