Tehran, June 9, IRNA – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said on Sunday that he welcomes Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe visiting a friendly country of Iran.

During Abe's Tehran visit, "we'll express our viewpoints," Zarif told reporters after visiting the high school he studied at his teen-age years.

** Trump's policies should stop

US President Donald Trump has launched an economic war against Iran which only targeted the ordinary people, so the US policy of economic war should stop, Zarif said.

To solve economic problems, the policy of economic war should be terminated; and the issue has already been expressed to Prime Minister Abe in private and public contacts, the foreign minister noted.

Elaborating on the Japanese premier's visit to Tehran, Zarif said, "We will carefully listen to Abe's views, and then will express ours in detail."

Elsewhere in his remarks, Zarif dismissed a statement made by US Representative for Iran Brian Hook that Tehran photoshops its missile achievements and creates a "false impression of their activities and their true intentions."

Zarif gave a short reaction to Brian Hook:"Let's see."

The Iranian foreign minister said Washington's policies have not only targeted Iran but also inflicted damages on many other countries as well.

World nations are trying to ignore the US unilateral policies as China and Russia have decided not to use dollar in economic transactions, said Zarif adding "Today is a good time for empathy and not to let US continue its unilateral policies against the international community."

Asked whether or not the American-Lebanese spy Nazar Zaka will be released from jail in Iran, Zarif said he has no knowledge about.

At the end of his remarks, the foreign minister talked of the upcoming summit of leaders of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, saying that Iran as an observer nation will attend the SCO summit which according to him is an opportunity for Iran to voice its views.

The SCO summit of leaders will be held in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, on June 13-14.
