Authorities say they are completely ready to offer various services such as free public transport (bus and metro) for the participants who will show up on Monday.
The Islamic Revolution of 1979 came to culmination on Bahman 22, 1357 (February 11, 1979) when the last cabinet of the previous regime was overthrown by the masses who flooded the streets of Tehran at the time.
This year, hundreds of thousands of people are set to hit the streets of Tehran to commemorate those days as well as show their support for the government and the state at a crucial time when the country has been faced with unilateral US sanctions.
City officials have marked 12 routes from nearly all over the capital where the marches are set to take place. They will all end up in Azadi Square (Freedom, in Persian), a historic place at the heart of Tehran that resounds in the minds of those Iranians who took part in the Revolution. Iranian President Hassan Rouhani is also set to address the masses there.
