Hojjatoleslam Abolfazl Tabatabaei-Ashkezari made the remarks in a meeting with patriarch of Christians in Syria Yohanna al-Asher al-Yazeji on the occasion of the new Christian Year, 2019 .
Ashkezari said enemies are afraid of close relations and affinity among people following different religions.
He further said that the Islamic Republic from the outset of its creation has been after formation of a unified Ummah which would embrace different ideas and religions.
“This unified Ummah” can be an undefeatable front against the enemies, the Hojjatoleslam said.
