Tehran, Dec 31, IRNA – Two Iranian car brands Dena Plus and Rana produced by Iran Khodro Industrical Group (IKCO) are planning to go to Oman market, Iran commercial attaché in Muscat said.

“As first Iranian automaker company, IKCO received [P]GCC Standardization Organization (GSO) certificate to export these two brands to Persian Gulf littoral states,” Abbas Abdolkhani said.

“The certificate was granted due to Iran's success in various tests,” he said, “An Iranian tyre brand is also in the final stage to receive the GSO permit,” he added.

IKCO is an Iranian multinational automaker headquartered in Tehran. The company's original name was Iran National. It was was founded in 1962 and produced 688,000 passenger cars in 2009. IKCO manufactures vehicles, including Samand, Peugeot and Renault cars, and trucks, minibuses and buses.
