Zarif made the remarks to reporters upon his arrival the New York city on Tuesday afternoon local time.
'The Iranian nation should feel fundamental changes in accordance with the UN Security Council Resolution 2231,' the Iranian foreign minister said.
He reiterated that his team will pursue the trend of implementation of the JCPOA at the United Nations.
Zarif pointed out that the meetings between Iran and the Group 5+1 (the US, Russia, China, France and Britain plus Germany) will be held at foreign ministerial level and if needed the expert meetings will also be held for specifying the executive measures to remove sanctions and operate the renovation of Arak heavy reactor facility and fuel exchanges.
The Iranian foreign minister said that as it has always been said the trend of implementation of the JCPOA is the important part of the work.
'Now the time has come for the G5+1 countries, specially those countries that imposed unfair sanctions against Iran to make fundamental shift in their attitude towards Iran and show in practice that they look at a different future and the Iranian nation should feel this fundamental change,' Zarif said.
He urged the western countries and those interacting with Iran to strengthen the foundations of JCPOA through their performance and their measures.
He noted that the Iranian delegation will also follow up the formation of a joint commission between Iran and the G5+1 during its visit to New York.
Zarif, heading a ranking delegation, departed for New York early Tuesday to attend the first meeting of the Joint Commission with the members of the Group 5+1.
The Joint Commission is comprised of representatives of Iran, those of the world sextet (US, UK, Russia, China and France plus Germany) and the European Union (EU) Foreign Policy Chief Federica Mogherini.
While in New York, Zarif will follow up the implementation process of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) reached on July 14 between Iran and G5+1.

The Coordinator will convene a meeting of the Joint Commission to be held no later than one week following receipt of such a request.
If any JCPOA participant asks for an urgent meeting, the meeting will be convened as soon as possible and not later than three calendar days from receipt of the request.
Meetings of the Joint Commission will be held in New York, Vienna, or Geneva.
The Joint Commission may decide by consensus to invite observers to attend its meetings.

Decisions by the Joint Commission are to be made by consensus. Each JCPOA participant will have one vote.
The Joint Commission also has a Working Group that comprises representatives of Iran and the G5+1 as well as EU high representative as Coordinator.
On July 14, Iran and world's six major powers known as the Group 5+1 (the US, Britain, France, Germany, Russia and China) concluded their over a decade-long negotiations on Tehran’s nuclear activities which led to the signing of the JCPOA.
According to the text of the document, the anti-Iran sanctions will be removed in exchange for some limitations on the country’s nuclear energy program; Iran will be recognized by the United Nations as a nuclear power and will continue its uranium enrichment program.
Iran has repeatedly announced its nuclear activities are aimed for peaceful purposes.
