Mostafa Zahrani, the director of the Department for Political Studies of the Foreign Ministry, said that Iran wanted its right to nuclear enrichment to be recognized by the world and reached the goal in the conclusion of nuclear talks with world powers.
Noting that Iran has never been seeking to produce nuclear bomb, Zahrani said that during the Iraqi-imposed war (1980-88) Iraq used weapons of mass destruction against Iran, but, Iran never retaliated the WMDs attack.
Referring to imposition of six UN Security Council resolutions against Iran before the conclusion of nuclear talks, Zahrani hailed success of Iranian diplomacy to clear the accusation contravening the Chapter seven of the UN Charter.
'The countries, against whom the chapter seven charges are brought, they usually end up with war, not with diplomacy,' Zahrani said.
In previously signed agreements across the world, big powers made decisions and other countries had to obey, while this deal is the only agreement that does not allow the big powers to ignore the Iranian vital interests, the official said.
He noted that over the past 50 years, it was impossible for the Americans to make a decision about the Middle East ignoring the demand of the Zionist regime, but, after the nuclear deal, the US president, for the first time, takes a position against the Israeli prime minister.
