Tehran, Feb 5, IRNA - Former deputy head of Iran's Supreme National Security Council for foreign policy Hossein Mousavian said on Thursday that the US should choose Netanyahu or NPT in nuclear talks with Iran.

Speaking in roundtable at Harvard University on Iran's nuclear program, he said if the US would mind international conventions, it should prefer NPT as a globally recognized criterion.

Clinching comprehensive nuclear deal with Iran is one hundred percent definite, he said adding that if Washington minds to the demands raised by Netanyahu, the negotiations will be doomed to failure.

Criticizing the US lack of clarity whether or not it prefers to come to terms with Iran, he said Iran sees two different US approach at nuclear talks. One US under leadership of President Obama and his negotiating team and the second one under the guise of congress and premiership of Zionist regime.

The US nuclear delegations suffer a double standard role but other delegations represent their unique stands, he said.

The US has always invited Iran to join the international community within the past 35 years, he said.

Direct and high profile nuclear talks between Iran and the US have provided such trial opportunity as Iran has signed up to NPT, Mousavian said.

Iran has proven its good faith, the global powers should not miss the great opportunity, he said.

'If Washington ignores Iran's good faith and listen to Netanyahu, it will be responsible for the failure of nuclear talks,' he said.

Extension of nuclear talks will be harmful for Iran as economic sanctions will remain in force, he said.
