New Delhi, June 26, IRNA – Maintaining that Islamic Republic of Iran reserves the right to enrich uranium on its own soil, an Indian Muslim leader Wednesday appreciated Hassan Rouhani Govt for pulling the US led West to come to the negotiations table over its nuclear program.

In an exclusive interview, Dr. Zafrul Islam Khan, President of All India Muslim Majlis Mushawwarat (AIMMM) said: “Despite the facts that Iran is keen to have nuclear capabilities for peaceful means, the anti-Iran lobby, US-led West, accused, without any legal basis, the Persian Gulf nation and politicized the issue”.

He said, although no evidences were found that Iran is engage in developing nuclear weapons, the US-led West misled the world and racheted up tensions.

“The appreciative diplomacy of the President Rouhani pulled down the West’s rigidity and brought them on negotiations table to resolve the standoff permanently through dialogue and diplomacy,” noted Indian leader.

He further noted that Rouhani Govt’s efforts, without compromising the rights, successfully clinched the interim deal with the US-led West.

Maintaining that the US and its allies's suspicions that Iran intends to develop nuclear weapons were not based on real facts, Dr. Khan asserts that Iran is committed to its international obligation and being signatory of NPT has rights to develop nuclear technology for the peaceful purposes.

“I am optimistic that Iran, through dialogue, will affix the prospects for resolving the standoff and will clinched the permanent deal before the expiry of the proposed time,” concluded Indian leader.
