Rezazadeh said executive works for construction of the 325 meter high dam will start in a ceremony on Wednesday in presence of a group of senior officials.
He said that the dam is designed to build hydroelectric power plant to generate 1,500 megawatt electricity.
He said that the advanced stage of the power plant will augment the capacity to 3,000 gigawatt/h of power annually.
Construction of the dam also aims to control five billion cubic meters of water flow at Dez and Bakhtiari rivers.

Tehran, March 26, IRNA – World's tallest concrete dam will be built in western province of Lorestan, head of the Managerial Board and Managing Director of the Water Resources and Power Development Company, Mohammad-Reza Rezazadeh, said on Tuesday.
