IRGC spokesman Brigadier General Hamid Sarkhail said the three-day drills are aimed at testing the IRGC’s new arms and equipment as well as maintaining its combat readiness.
Examining modern and advanced equipment is considered as another objective of the maneuver, Sarkhail said.
Meanwhile, the IRGC held a three-day missile drill dubbed 'The Great Prophet 7' in the central province of Semnan last July.
