Tehran, Sept 26, IRNA – A senior member of Iran's nuclear talks team says the negotiating sides have not reached a convincing solution amid discussing the details which have led the talks to a "breath-taking" point.

"People are waiting for news from the talks, but our policy is maintaining the rights and not transgressing the red lines," Abbas Araqchi said in an interview with the Islamic Republic of Iran News Network (IRINN) broadcast on Friday.

"We will never leave the negotiations table," said Araqchi who is also the deputy for legal and international affairs at Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, "And we will not take one step back from the rights of the Iranian nation either."

The senior negotiator added that Iran is ready to find a solution for removing any concern about its peaceful nuclear program provided that such an agreement will address Tehran's nuclear rights and red lines too.

The Iranian diplomat also said there were expectations that the talks will move forward on the sidelines of the on-going UN General Assembly session in New York. "But it has not happened yet."

Iran and members of the G5+1 have been holding bilateral meetings on the nuclear issue for the last 10 days in New York.
