Deputy Interior Minister Hosseinali Amiri told reporters that the government is concerned about fate of the fifth border guard and is looking for his whereabouts.
“We can not confirm whether he is dead or alive.”
“No accurate report is available on Danaeefar’s fate,” he added.
Danaeefar and his four comrades (Sajjad Zahani, Mohammad Nezami, Ramin Hazrati and Jamshid Teimouri) were kidnapped on February 6 by members of the Jeish al-Adl terrorist group in Jakigour border point of Iran’s southeastern province of Sistan-Baluchestan with Pakistan and then taken to Pakistan.
On April 6, four Iranian soldiers were released by the terrorists who had earlier claimed that they executed Danaeefar.
