Tehran, Feb 18, IRNA - Chairman of export promotion department of Iran Chamber of Commerce Asadollah Asgaroladi said on Tuesday that the current level of trade exchange between Iran and the US exceeded dlrs 550 million in the first quarter of the current Iranian year.

Speaking to a group of businessmen as well as officials in charge of exports department in Semnan province, he said imports from the US in the said period stood at dlrs 350 million and exports to that country at dlrs 200 billion.



If talks between Iran and G5+1 will continue on the right direction, the figure will reach dlrs 600 – 700 million and even one billion dollars a year, he said.



He also criticized import of sub-standard products from China and blamed the Iranian businessmen for this.



In trade exchanges with China, Iran puts emphasis on promotion of investments and transfer of technological know how from that country, he said.
