Iran foreign debt hits three-decade low in current administration
Tehran, IRNA – Prior to the incumbent administration in Iran, its foreign exchange reserve had collapsed and its foreign debt had increased, but in the current administration of late President Ebrahim Raisi and then Acting President Mohammad Mokhber, the country’s foreign exchange reserve increased and its foreign debt decreased to the lowest level in three decades.

Tehran, IRNA – The Central Bank of Iran (CBI) says Iran managed to decrease the size of its foreign debt by $1.576 billion in the first four months of the current fiscal (March 21-July 22).

Iran foreign debt at $10bn, one of lowest in developing world
Tehran, IRNA – Figures by the World Bank Group show Iran’s foreign debt was among the lowest in the developing world at a total figure of $10.349 billion reported at the end of 2021.
