A drag-racing competition was held in the northwestern Iranian city of Tabriz on August 18, 2023 with the presence of drivers from the across Iran. The event featured races in both the 200- and 400-meter categories. Drag-racing is a type of motor racing in which cars compete, usually two at a time, to be the first to cross a set finish line.
