Veterans of Iran’s war with Iraq remembered
The birth anniversary of Hazrat Al-Abbas is marked as the Day of Janbaz or the day of the veterans who lost a body part during Iran’s war with Iraq more than three decades ago. The occasion which falls on February 14 this year is celebrated annually on the 3rd of Sha’ban, the eighth month of the Islamic calendar. Funeral and burial held for unknown martyr in Tehran
The remains of an unknown martyr of Iran’s 1980s war with Iraq was buried in the premises of the former US embassy in Iran, a building known as Den of Espionage located in central Tehran, after a funeral was held in the facility for the martyr on December 19, 2023.
