Carpet restoration and resurfacing
Combing, resurfacing and restoration are among main jobs carried out on handwoven carpets before and after the weaving process. Masters of the profession are mostly based in Mirza Shafi and Sadeghieh passages of the Grand Bazar of the city of Tabriz in northwestern Iran. They normally correct the flaws that exist in carpets before they are sent for resurfacing.
