Dast-e Choobi is a traditional ritual annually performed by people in Gorgan, in northern Iran, on the eve of the of 12th of Muharram – the first month of Islamic year – to mourn the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS), who was martyred along his companions in the 10thof Muharram in Karbala in 680 CE.
