Foreign pilgrims crossing Chazabeh border
A number of Afghan and Pakistani pilgrims heading to the holy shrine of Imam Hussein (A.S) cross the Chazabeh border point to enter Iraq. The Chazabeh border is situated 110 kilometers northwest of the Iranian city of Ahvaz in Khuzestan province. Arbaeen pilgrims crossing Khosravi border point
The Khosravi border crossing between Iran and Iraq, which is located in the Iranian city of Qasr-e Shirin, is 300 kilometers away from the Iraqi city of Karbala; so, the border crossing is one of the main points to reach Imam Hossein’s holy shrine. Some 287,219 Iranian pilgrims have crossed the border point for Iraq in just eight days leading up to Arbaeen mourning day.
