Mohun Bagan removed from AFC CL Two after refusing to play in Iran
Tehran, IRNA – The Asian Football Confederation on Monday announced that Indian Super League club Mohun Bagan Super Giant were “considered to have withdrawn from the AFC Champions League Two” tournament after they did not travel to Iran for their Group B match against Tractor FC on October 2.

AFC Asian Cup in Doha
The Persian Gulf country of Qatar is hosting the 18th edition of the AFC Asian Cup that kicked off on January 12. The games, set to wrap up on February 10, are taking place in the capital Doha that hosts two dozen teams and their fans from across Asia. The country has tried to hold the games in relatively good conditions thanks to its experience of hosting another major sports event, the FIFA World Cup, in 2022.
