Reshki-and-Masi is one of Nowruz rituals in Arak, the capital city of Iran’s Markazi province. A few days before spring and Iranian New Year, groups of singers go from door to door. In return, it is customary for the householders to give them gifts or to offer them sweets, candies, eggs, peas, and other foods.
